Hey really nice. good job man. How many lights u used. I liked the lighting (with Mental Ray).10 points to you.
I am a novice in 3d. When i render using mental ray with GI and FG on, the color of walls and roof changes to color of floor. any idea why this happens.

Hi There

In response to the question above I suppose is to do with
the fact that you might have a very strong coloured surface(green, red, yellow or blue) against a very neutral one(white or any pale colour).
That's a phenomenon that occurs in real life.
The human eye can often compensate for that therefore not visible however when you take a picture it suddenly becomes apparent.
Try having a look at photographs that have similar contrasts to the ones mention above.

Hey everyone,

First of all, I have to say that I am very impressed by the pitures. It's really amazing what's possible today.

Secondly, I am working for a manufacturer of carpets and I am looking for a person/company that can implement (fit) our carpets in a digital roomsetting. The roomsetting with our carpet in it, will be used for promotional purposes. We don't have any roomsettings at our disposal, so we are looking for a person who has firstly, the experience plus software, but also different roomsettings to do this project.

All information is more than welcome. I really hope that someone can help me with this project.

Thank you,

Bob Rubens

THIS IS NOT YOUR WORK it is a TUTORIAL that ships with 3ds max as an introduction to mental ray rendering.

Everything is fully set up for you - textures, lights - the lot. All you did was add a couple of objects and some new textures, very sad!

Why not try to make your own scene instead of taking photographs and making out you made it in 3ds max and lying like this ^^

Hi There ice440,

I am really disturbed to hear such remarks from you.
First of all, if you compare the date of the this image's submission with the release of max9 (which came with that model scene), you will quickly realize that, the image and model are genuinely mine.
I sold this model to mental images GmbH (mental ray); which was subsequently shipped with max 9, 1 or 2 years ago. This image was published long before then. In the same year I have published a book with Autodesk and Focal press titled: Realistic architectural visualization with 3ds max and mental ray.
In addition, you can also Google my name: Jamie cardoso; should you wish to know more about my credentials and my latest work.
I really hope that this clarifies everything.

Thanks

Jamie
