Question:

Which version of the gcc compiler should I use to build Shake plugins?

Answer:

On Linux:
For Shake 3.50 and 4.00, the correct gcc compiler version is 3.2.3.
For Shake 3.01, the correct gcc compiler version is 2.95.2.

On Mac OS X:
For Shake 4.00, the correct gcc compiler version is 3.3.
For Shake 3.50, the correct gcc compiler version is 3.1.
For Shake 3.01, the correct gcc compiler version is 2.95.2.
