When the curve editor is in Selected mode and a group is selected, only keyframed and REVEALED (in the group) parameters should show up in the curve editor.
As it is, apparently Selected mode simply means that when you select a node, all animated parameters in the node are checked and show up in the curve editor. For a group, this is applied to all nodes in the group. WAY too many curves get selected that way, and I reveal control in a group for a reason so why not honor it in all areas?
